HIPRA reaffirms its commitment to the Japanese swine industry

Schweine

For the first time, HIPRA invited a group of Japanese swine veterinarians and producers to visit its headquarters and engage with stakeholders in the Spanish swine production sector. This group consisted of key opinion leaders, field veterinarians, and swine producers representing 200,000 sows, which accounts for 25% of Japan's swine population.

The group toured significant stakeholders in the Spanish swine production industry. Such as Semen Cardona, an international company specializing in producing doses for swine artificial insemination; or SIP Consultors, who provide management systems for livestock companies with a financial management approach aimed at improving decision-making and efficiency. They also visited a 600-sow farm owned by a prominent swine company in Spain to observe how technology and management practices are implemented on Spanish farms.

As part of this immersion, they had the opportunity to exchange opinions and ideas about swine production with Dr. Quim Segalés (researcher at CReSA) and Dr. Jean Paul Cano (APVS Planasdemunt & Associats), both globally recognized swine veterinarians.

Finally, the group explored the HIPRA HQ and Aiguaviva facilities where they could learn more about all the services, products, devices and solutions, thanks to the experience of all the team involved.

This visit to Spain fostered valuable connections among Japanese producers and veterinarians, HIPRA, and Spanish stakeholders, promoting the exchange of expertise and building essential networking opportunities. HIPRA reaffirms its commitment to the Japanese swine industry by providing insights and innovative vaccine and technological solutions.
