As representatives of HIPRA, Elena Navas, UCAM senior technical expert from Diagnos gave an oral presentation entitled “Detection of betanodavirus in clinical samples from Dicentrarchus labrax by qPCR in dried samples” which showed the viability of this type of sample collected using FTA cards.

In her oral presentation,  Sandra Gascón, Corporate Product Manager, described the study “Correlation of two quantitative techniques, CIVTEST® CANIS LEISHMANIA and indirect immunofluorescence, in canine serum samples” which explained the excellent correlation between the performance of the kit and the Gold Standard technique.

Additionally, she presented two posters: “Adaptation of  CIVTEST® CANIS LEISHMANIA to an automated ELISA” and “Detection of buffaloes infected with the HoBi-like virus using a BVDp80 blocking ELISA kit”.

For her part, Mercè Domènech, Corporate Product Manager, presented the study entitled “Validation of the new CIVTEST® BOVIS IBRgB”  which demonstrated the high level of sensitivity of the kit, and the corporate communication which revealed the latest innovations in kits, including the new CIVTEST® BOVIS IBRgB (Detection of specific antibodies against glycoprotein B (gB) of bovine herpesvirus type 1 (BoHV-1), by blocking ELISA) and the CIVTEST® RUMI CHLAMYDIA.

Apart from its scientific contributions to the congress, HIPRA sponsored the prizes for the best scientific publication, the best oral presentation and the best poster.

In this way, the company strengthens its commitment to research in veterinary diagnostics and to the Spanish laboratory diagnostics association, AVEDILA.
