HIPRA BRAZIL highlights digestive health at the 21st Abraves Congress

HIPRA BRAZIL took part in the 21st Abraves Congress, held from October 20 to 23 in Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais, Brazil). Recognized as the most important event in the Brazilian swine industry, this year’s edition brought together over 1,500 professionals from across the country.

The company kicked off its participation with the pre-congress event “Respiratory and digestive health: the foundation for a quality piglet”, which welcomed more than 450 industry specialists.

During the session, Marina Sibila, researcher at IRTA-CReSA, delivered two presentations addressing the epidemiological status of PCV2 after two decades of vaccination and analysing key factors for controlling Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae infection. 

Representing HIPRA, Oriol Boix, Regional Technical Manager, explored the potential of vaccination as a tool to modulate the intestinal microbiota in piglets. Additionally, Daniela Ferrandin, Global Product Manager, focused her presentation on Verotoxin-Associated Syndrome in weaned and growing piglets, highlighting its health and productivity impact.

Throughout the congress, HIPRA also hosted a spacious booth where special attention was given to Vepured®, the purified vaccine against edema disease. The booth served as a meeting point to strengthen relationships with key clients and prominent industry representatives.
