International Day of Women and Girls in Science: role models for future generations

Corporate

On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, HIPRA reaffirms its commitment to equal opportunities and the promotion of female talent in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).

Currently, 50% of positions in the company are held by women, reflecting the company’s commitment to fostering a more equitable environment.

Inspiring stories from women in STEM

Four professionals from HIPRA were invited to reflect on their career paths and write a letter to their younger selves, sharing experiences, challenges, and advice for future generations.

The protagonists of this initiative are Irina Güell, Mercedes Cabrera, Míriam Costa, and Carla Romero. With distinguished careers in STEM, they have conveyed messages full of determination and empowerment.

Their words highlight the importance of believing in oneself, overcoming barriers set by stereotypes, and not letting fear influence professional decisions.

The goal of this initiative is not only to honour the women who have made history in STEM fields but also to inspire new generations to pursue their goals with determination and confidence.

It aims to create an environment where girls and young women can see a future in the scientific and technological world with security and enthusiasm.

Thank you to all the women who, through their example and career paths, continue to be role models and guides for future generations.
