BOVIRESP® is currently well established as an important tool of diagnostic support for the veterinary practitioner. The results obtained suggest the necessity of studying more deeply the pathogenic role of BVDv in BRD, as well as considering BRSv as a frequent viral pathogen in BRD.

BOVIRESP® is a diagnostic tool to identify rapidly and accurately the main viruses involved in a respiratory outbreak. Nasal exudates from calves from Spanish feedlots have been analyzed by real time PCR and the results obtained during a 5 years period showed a 51%, 47% and 13% of prevalence of BVDV, BRSV and IBRV, respectively, among the positive RT-PCR samples. BOVIRESP® has been established as an important tool to support cattle veterinarians.
