Last April 16, HIPRA organized a HIPRA University course in "Mas Bes" Dairy Herd in Girona (Spain) with Ramon Armengol, (recognized specialist in bovine production management) for a group of 10 dairy Portuguese veterinarians.

The course was dedicated to the theme 'Diagnostic of BRD in dairy heifers' addressing the economic and production impact of BRD in rearing heifers, importance of diagnostic and implementation of prevention programs including bacterial vaccines.

The attendees also had the chance to interactively practice lung ultrasound to evaluate the presence and severity of lung lesions. It was the unanimous opinion that this HIPRA UNIVERSITY course exceeded learning expectations.

HIPRA with this action, strengthened its positioning as leaders in BRD prevention in dairy cows and consolidates the important role of the HIPRABOVIS SOMNI Lkt® vaccine on prevention of bacterial pneumonia in dairy heifers.
