HIPRA organizes a HIPRA UNIVERSITY course in Russia on IBR, BRSV and milk quality

On September 26th and 28th, HIPRA organized the first HIPRA UNIVERSITY course on ruminants in two important regions for milk production in Russia: Yekaterinburg and St. Petersburg.

Various topics were dealt with during these sessions, with the focus on the impact of the IBR virus and BRSV and milk quality, including mastitis prevention and management. Around 70 attendees, who came from important dairy farms in the country, were able to take advantage of this course.

In both courses Tomek Jankowiak, President of the Polish Mastitis Association, spoke about the advantages of good milking management and how vaccination can improve milk quality. He also explained his experience vaccinating with HIPRABOVIS® IBR MARKER LIVE and how this reduced the incidence of respiratory disease on a Polish farm. 

Juan Pedro Campillo (Product Manager, HIPRA) explained the impact of BRSD outbreaks on dairy farms and how to prevent them with vaccination strategies. Finally, Carla Azevedo introduced the innovative diagnostic tools that HIPRA provides to its customers which they can use to monitor and identify disease in dairy herds.

These sessions also included a practical part in which veterinarians could improve their practical skills in calf necropsy and learn how to recognize pneumonia lesions.

With this event, HIPRA positioned itself as an important pharmaceutical company in Russia and an important partner in terms of prevention in animal health for Russian veterinarians.
