HIPRA & Skretting lead disease prevention in marine aquaculture in Cyprus

HIPRA, Skretting Spain and Premier Shukuroglou Animal Health joined forces to host a seminar in Cyprus on emerging diseases in Mediterranean aquaculture. 

The seminar provided a platform for discussion and knowledge exchange among all major local producers. A general overview on fish diseases, good practices for antimicrobial usage, the benefits of vaccination, and the role of functional feed solutions in aquaculture comprised the main topics of discussion.

One of the highlights of the event was a presentation by Dimitris Dedeloudis, Fish Health Manager at Philosofish, who shared insights on the positive effects of early vaccination in health management strategies drawing special attention to the importance of proactive measures in ensuring fish welfare

An open discussion followed, facilitating an exchange of the latest industry updates and exploring synergies in nutrition and disease prevention strategies. Participants engaged in fruitful conversations about the mitigation of emerging diseases.
