HIPRA, a stand-out at the 32nd WBC

HIPRA's participation in the latest World Buiatrics Congress, held in Cancun from May 20 to 24, was once more a resounding success.

HIPRA took part in the latest edition of this international congress under the slogan “The ones who care, are the ones who matter”. The aim: to demonstrate and highlight the fundamental role of veterinarians in society and the importance of working together as a community. This was the setting chosen by the company to showcase its latest contribution: DIVENCE®.

As a Premium sponsor, HIPRA was entitled to two spaces in the trade exhibition area, one of them dedicated exclusively to offering live theory-practice sessions, with subjects including the control of viral diseases, eradication states and the diagnosis of respiratory lesions.

“The opportunity to see different challenges in terms of markets, disease profiles, different country specific data etc. is what stood out for me.”

The HIPRA symposium certainly took center stage, attracting over 400 participants to the Gran Cancún auditorium. Under the title “Get that extra grip on viral diseases”, veterinarians were given a full rundown on everything the new range of DIVENCE® vaccines has to offer. The symposium was held a day after the official launch at a private event at the STOA Auditorium in Cancun (see here for further information).

For the first time, HIPRA worked in collaboration with the scientific committee, arranging presentations by international authorities in bovine veterinary medicine in the congress's official program, including people of the stature of Dr. C. Chase, one of the world's foremost bovine immunologists, Paolo Moroni from Italy, João Niza from Portugal, and Nicolás Arias from Mexico.

“A number of things stood out for me, such as the excellent job the HIPRA organizing team had done, the quality of both technical and social events, HIPRA's energy at all events.”

The technical activities were complemented by a series of social events. The welcome event deserves mention. To highlight the role of veterinarians, the question was posed, "What would it be like if there was no such thing as a vet?" The idea was to try to imagine life without vets; how it would affect society, health, economic development and the environment in small and simple ways on a day-to-day basis.

Another top event was “A taste of culture”, with Chef Lula, named 2024 Chef of the Year in Mexico. Preparing five different dishes, he took participants on a journey through Mexico's gastronomic culture, during which he demonstrated his passion for the country's local cuisine, which is now part of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
