The aim of this study was to determine the detection rate of Bordetella bronchiseptica and Pasteurella multocida in the noses of weaned pigs, with or without a previous history of respiratory problems, and to examine its relationship to a nasal lesion score.

The results showed a significantly higher proportion of Bordetella bronchiseptica and Pasteurella multocida in pigs exhibiting respiratory signs and pneumonia, compared to control pigs.
