HIPRA participated as a Diamond sponsor in the APVS 2019 congress (Asian Pig Veterinary Society Congress) which took place in Seoul (South Korea) from 25th to 28th August.

During the event, HIPRA was awarded the prize for the best oral presentation of the congress.

Year after year, the congress provides the opportunity to disseminate the company’s scientific knowledge. This year, HIPRA contributed a total of 18 scientific posters and 2 oral presentations.

The first was given by Professor Dachrit Nilubol (Chulalongkorn University) and was entitled “How the vaccine UNISTRAIN® PRRS (IM or ID), can provide protection against challenge with HP-PRRSV, either alone or in co-challenge with type 1 PRRSV, as demonstrated by reducing lung lesion and viremia“.

The second, for which HIPRA received the award, was “Monitoring of AR and lung lesion score in slaughtered pigs from 15 Korean farms” given by Sangwon Seo (Technical Marketing Manager Swine HIPRA).

In parallel with the congress, HIPRA organized an event for Korean producers and veterinarians in which, based on the current situation of the Korean industry, the 10 key points were presented for the reduction of production costs and the impact of vaccination.

Over 900 professionals from more than 10 countries attended this year’s APVS congress, the largest event in the swine health industry in Asia.

With its participation, HIPRA strengthened its commitment to prevention in animal health in the Asian market.
