The event was divided into three sessions. The first session was given by Prof Daral Jackwood from Ohio State University and Prof Widya Asmara from Gadjah Mada University who reviewed the current situation of Gumboro disease worldwide and in Indonesia, respectively.
The second session focused on the introduction of GUMBOHATCH®. This new immune complex vaccine has introduced a different formulation (IgY of egg origin) and control parameters (free IgY detection and neutralization control) to guarantee complete coating of the IBDV vaccine virus at the time of inoculation.
All these new improvements have resulted in a new generation immune-complex vaccine, which ensures the maintenance of maximum potency of the vaccine and consistent results in the field, whilst avoiding the risk of immunosuppression.
Finally, in the third session, the HIPRA Indonesia team presented all the services related to GUMBOHATCH® both in the hatchery and on the farm, with special emphasis on Hipraject®, the smart vaccination device that HIPRA has developed for the subcutaneous administration of GUMBOHATCH®.
Furthermore, HIPRAlink® Vaccination, the SMART VACCINATION concept element, has also been adapted to record all the vaccination data generated by Hipraject®, providing traceability and control for the entire vaccination process.
At the peak of the event, Amke Wijatman, Bussiness Manager HIPRA Indonesia, led the theatrical ceremonial launch of GUMBOHATCH®. All of which guarantees the success of vaccination and affirms HIPRA as a reference for prevention in poultry health.
