Last March, we participated as an “Industrial partner” in the 50th annual conference of the American Association of Swine Veterinarians (AASV), held in Lake Buena Vista, Florida (USA).

On this occasion, Francesc Tribó (Technical and Marketing Manager, Mexico) gave an oral presentation on technical results obtained with the vaccine ERYESENG® PARVO/LEPTO in Mexico.
Entitled “Impact of sow vaccination during lactation on piglet performance”, the presented study pointed out the importance of applying safe vaccines during lactation, which allows the sow to develop all its milk production potential, and consequently, optimize piglet performance up to weaning.
Furthermore, Dani Torrents (Project Developer - Swine Business Unit) presented a poster entitled “Effect of breeding herd PRRS status on productivity” in collaboration with Iowa State University.
The poster pointed out the productive improvement due to PRRS stability achievement in breeding herds.
HIPRA has also participated in the AASV with a “Tech table” in the Tech Tables Exhibit area.
This initiative consolidates HIPRA’s commitment to swine veterinarians in North America, by offering technical support and continued training to professionals in the industry.
