AseBio appoints Carlota Gómez de la Hoz from HIPRA as Third Vice President

HIPRA’s Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Executive Director strengthens the company’s presence in the Spanish biotechnology ecosystem 

 

Carlota Gómez de la Hoz, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Executive Director at HIPRA, has been appointed as the new Third Vice President of AseBio (Spanish Bioindustry Association). This appointment reinforces HIPRA’s role and consolidates the company’s commitment to the main decision-making forums within the sector.

The appointment of Carlota Gómez de la Hoz as Vice President of AseBio forms part of the renewal process of the Association’s Board of Directors, which takes place in the context of its Ordinary and Extraordinary General Assembly, the highest decision-making body of the organization and the forum where the Presidency, Vice Presidencies and Board Members are periodically elected.

Alongside her new role at the Spanish Bioindustry Association (AseBio), she will work with sector professionals with extensive experience, including Cristina Nadal from Merck Sharp & Dohme as the new President, Rocío Arroyo from Advanced Marker Discovery as the new First Vice President, and Santiago Torres from Atrys Health as the new Second Vice President.

A career dedicated to the health sector 

Carlota Gómez de la Hoz has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, where she has held senior management positions related to corporate affairs and sustainability at an international level. From her current role at the biotechnology company HIPRA, she has advocated for addressing the sector from a perspective focused on innovation, scientific development and the One Health approach.

With a vision aimed at creating long-term value and strengthening collaboration between industry, institutions and society, Gómez de la Hoz will contribute to consolidating AseBio’s role as a benchmark in the transformation of the sector.
