HIPRA PAKISTAN hosts a successful HIPRA UNIVERSITY on the Newcastle Disease Necropsy and Sampling

HIPRA PAKISTAN recently organized an impactful event, Hipra University, focused on Newcastle Disease (ND) necropsy and laboratory sampling, a significant viral infection affecting poultry, in BZU, Multan for the first time. Dr Santiago (Regional Manager), Dr Enrique Carceller (Global Product Manager) & Ms. Claudia (Corporate People & Org. Business Partner)) from Hipra HQ attended this exclusive event.

HIPRA PAKISTAN team under the supervision of Dr. Malik Burhan Yousaf BM HIPRA PAKISTAN and led by Dr. Umer Haider TSM poultry received a strong support from the BZU veterinary faculty members especially Dean Faculty Dr. Muhammad Faqeer, Chairman Pathobiology department Raza Hameed, Director UDL Dr. Irfan Anwar and Assistant professor Irtaza Hussain.

Dr. Usman TS coccidia, Dr. Fraz Anwar ASM Multan, Dr. Zaeem Khalid, Dr. Khalil Raza and Dr. Mughees were the other HIPRA PAKISTAN team members who actively managed the HU. FAM HHIPRA PAKISTAN Mr. Uzair Hassan also actively participated in the HU. The event brought together veterinarians, researchers and industrial professionals to enhance understanding and management of this disease.

Presentations offered during the theoretical session provided a comprehensive overview of Newcastle Disease (ND) and its implications for the poultry industry. Dr. Enrique presented a global perspective on the diagnosis and control of ND, highlighting effective strategies and innovations. Local keynote speaker Professor Dr. Irfan Anwar addressed the impact of NDV in Pakistan, discussing specific control measures essential for mitigating its effects. Dr. Malik Burhan from HIPRA PAKISTAN introduced the HIPRA University program, while Dr. Muhammad Umer Haider elaborated on the technical services provided to the poultry industry.

BZU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Zubair, commended the collaboration between HIPRA PAKISTAN and Bahauddin Zakariya University, emphasizing its importance for advancing poultry education. Dean Dr. Muhammad Faqir and Chairman of the Pathobiology Department, Dr. Raza Hameed, also contributed valuable insights, underscoring the initiative's role in developing poultry professionals and bridging the gap between academia and industry. Amongst the attendees were present Poultry consultants and veterinarians from different companies like Faisal feeds and chicks, Unique group, Wahid Feeds, K & Ns and Jadeed Feeds.
 

The success of HIPRA UNIVERSITY demonstrates the company's dedication to education and collaboration in the veterinary field, aiming to equip professionals with the tools they need to combat Newcastle Disease effectively.
