At HIPRA we have initiated a new era in our diagnostic service (HIPRA Diagnos) with the deployment of the Genomic Project.

The first phase of this project, which consists in carrying out the genetic sequencing (Sanger methodology), will be fully developed with our own resources, personnel and knowledge.

As a result of this cutting-edge new technology, HIPRA Diagnos users will benefit from a significant reduction in the waiting time for results as well as new and more efficient services that will be offered.

As an example, the Gumboro virus and PRRSV sequencing methods have already been implemented in our facilities, and new methods are being developed to identify bacteria of interest in aquaculture, among others.  

In parallel, we are working on the implementation of new generation sequencing assays, which in a second phase will be used to support strategic products, as well as new products under development.
