The aim of this study was to test a new inactivated vaccine against Ovine enzootic abortion (OEA) that has recently been commercialized in different European countries under the name INMEVA®.

The results obtained in this study have shown that the INMEVA commercial inactivated vaccine is safe, showing a suitable level of protection against OEA related to a significant decrease in reproductive failures and in chlamydial shedding, thereby limiting spread of infection in the flock.
