HIPRA hosts the first Coccidiosis Control Congress (CONCO 22) in Cancún

On 28 and 29 March, HIPRA hosted its first Coccidiosis Control Congress (CONCO 22), which was held in the Hilton Hotel in Cancún. The aim of the event, which lasted two days, was to bring producers and experts from the American continent up to date with the most recent advances in the prevention of avian coccidiosis in broiler chickens.

The sunlit city of Cancún welcomed over 70 professionals from the poultry sector, who met experts in the disease from the Americas and other parts of the world who shared their technical knowledge on this major disease and intestinal health in general.

They were also able to learn about the results obtained with the different methods of prevention of coccidiosis, such as the use of live vaccines attenuated for precociousness.

As part of CONCO 22, techniques were also presented for the use of a feed that is completely free of anticoccidial medication, new technologies for the diagnosis of coccidiosis disease and the latest advances in spray and in ovo vaccination.

Finally, and in connection with the above aspect, the event saw the public presentation of the first vaccine against coccidiosis attenuated for precociousness that has been developed specifically for in ovo administration: EVANOVO®, that is currently already registered in Peru, Brazil, Ecuador and Honduras.

With this initiative, HIPRA is reaffirmed as the reference company for helping producers to achieve excellence in the prevention of avian coccidiosis.
