HIPRA has opted to organize HIPRA University training courses via an online platform in order to keep specialists in the poultry sector up to date with the latest developments in animal health and as a way of addressing the current situation of social isolation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

As many as 70 courses have been provided by the poultry unit, with training for over 1,500 professionals during the months of April and May, covering Gumboro disease, Coccidiosis, Newcastle disease, Salmonella, Pneumovirus and the service of Smart Vaccination.

There were participants in these sessions from about twenty countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

The courses consisted of a descriptive part on the disease itself and current systems of prevention, with particular emphasis on diagnosis as an essential way of gaining a practical understanding of the incidence of the infection and monitoring its progression.

Laboratory diagnosis also allows vaccination programmes to be established and monitored, providing a practical tool for use by the poultry specialist. The second part of these sessions was more interactive and provided the participants with the opportunity to raise any concerns they had with the speakers.

With this new initiative, HIPRA positions itself as a technology company that is committed to online training alternatives, that will continue in the coming months, and once again strengthens its commitment to the poultry industry as the reference in prevention for animal health.
