Total Control of Coccidiosis in Mexico starts with Smart Vaccination

Kanatlı

The event was opened by Javier Sanz, Marketing Director at HIPRA, who emphasized the technological level of the different elements and the progress of the company over recent years, with a special mention of its subsidiary, HIPRA México.

Dr. Jesús Rubio, Poultry BU Manager, Dr. Martina Dardi, Brand Manager of the coccidiosis range and Dr. Jordi Franquesa, Marketing Technology Coordinator, then took it in turn to set the stage for a more detailed approach to what the problem of coccidiosis means to the world of poultry production, the strategies for prevention with vaccines and the solutions of administration of these associated with the particular nature of this antiparasitic vaccine.

Dr. Marc Pagès, Manager R&D Biologics, designer of the two vaccines, HIPRACOX® and EVALON®, then explained the studies and trials carried out experimentally and in the field for the registration of both of them.

One of the most striking aspects was the knowledge of the immunological processes that form part of the protection in the case of coccidiosis and served as a basis for the inclusion, for for the first time in EVALON®, of a specific adjuvant (HIPRAMUNE T) that allows the immune response to be modulated towards a cellular type of response.

For a closer examination of the technical contents of this dual launch of the HIPRA coccidiosis vaccines, the following day demonstrations were held of the SMART VACCINATION concept.

Dr. Jordi Franquesa and Xavier Coromina,  MD Technical Service Coordinator, put the HIPRASPRAY® equipment, together with HIPRALINK® Vaccination, into operation. Dr. Martina Dardi then presented the results of several field trials of HIPRACOX®. The morning ended with a very active round table where all the doubts of the participants in this two-day event could be dispelled.

The launch of these vaccines, unique on the market, and the related services means that today HIPRA is the first company that is able to offer a global solution to the total control of coccidiosis in all segments of poultry production. With this concept, it strengthens its position as the reference in coccidiosis prevention.
